Mon, 28 August 2006 My friend and new neighbor, Mike Roth, came over to mess around today and we recorded this song he wrote. We'll probably do this again and add some stuff to it. This was all on the first take. I just now gave him the MC name Mike One, because I labeled his track Mike1. Comments[1] |
Wed, 14 June 2006 This is a song I wrote about on my blog. Don't download it from me, buy it on iTunes here. Note to Sony and others: I just wanted people to hear this song. Don't sue me. Comments[0] |
Thu, 6 April 2006 My friends Christian and Marilyn Cryder, Jeff McRobbie, and Bert the Bass Player got together for one last folk-rock concert before the McRobbies and Cryders leave Philly and follow God to Morocco and Montana, respectively. See if you can find the Camelback Trout... Comments[0] |
Mon, 27 March 2006 Dr. John Perkins of the Christian Community Development Association stopped by our house for a couple of hours and shared his heart with us. I wanted to record him saying "Jesus Loves Hunting Park" and he was more than willing. His life has helped to teach me this truth. By the way he pronounced it, you'd think he was a Philly native. Wed, 15 March 2006 My grandma recently took a missions trip to the Philippines. She's 83 years old and has her own blog. (www.evonbecker.blogspot.com) This is not the most entertaining thing to listen to, but she has some good advice at the very end. Plus, she's 83 years old, so she deserves to be heard, don't you think? Comments[0] |
Tue, 7 March 2006 Josue stopped by the house a couple of weeks ago and after playing around quite a bit, we recorded this short little track which I think is pretty cool. He didn't give me a title. Comments[0] |
Thu, 9 February 2006 My friend Josue has become an excellent lyricist and MC. He's looking for someone to produce an album for him, so if you know someone or are interested yourself, let me know and I'll connect you. Enjoy! clumsyfly@aol.com Comments[3] |
Sun, 5 February 2006 We had an open mic last night at our house and here is the recording. The idea was to encourage youth to use their creativity in positive ways. We had a panel of judges and they decided on the top three performers based on a few categories and then they each recieved a fresh $10 bill. We had a people's choice award and that person also got a prize. We had a great time and it was encouraging to hear young people using their gifts for the Lord. It's not the best recording, but I'll be editing out the good parts and putting them up later. It is worth a listen even if the quality is poor, so please hang with it. These kids have some great things to say and they are very gifted as well. After the open mic part, we danced for a long time to the cha cha slide and stuff like that and then had a dance circle to some old school hip hop. It was a lot of fun.
It might take a while to download. I haven't figured out much about compression yet. Please be patient and hang with the file. Thanks! Comments[0] |
